An open course for everyone, developed within the Share Africa project with Federica Web Learning

The MOOC “Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Water Management” is now online and open to all. The course was developed within the Share Africa project by Prof. Salvatore Manfreda (DICEA) with Federica Web Learning, the centre for innovation and multimedia learning of the University of Naples Federico II.

The course presents the technologies that are changing the way we observe, measure and manage water resources: from non-contact monitoring to remote sensing and data-driven approaches. It is aimed at students, early-career researchers and practitioners, with a particular focus on capacity building in African universities.

International experts also contributed to the course, including Stefan Uhlenbrook (World Meteorological Organization, WMO) and Nick Everard (UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology). The course was produced with Evelina Bruno and the Federica Web Learning team, and with the contribution of the Share Africa partners.
